As others have said, this reel is HEAVY (even after reading the reviews, it was heavier than I had expected).A helpful note that I didn't see anywhere is that it is intended to be mounted with 1/2" hardware (the corresponding mounting holes are designed for this...you'll need large washers if you're using smaller hardware).
A major factor for me was to ensure I had good quality rubber hose...not the cheap PVC hose.This unit delivers on that front.
Only small complaint I have is that, even though it is very heavy and seems very beefy, it is still reasonably "wobbly" when taking hose off & retracting the reel.During normal use, I didn't notice it wobbling enough to bother me.Basically, I don't see this is much of an issue, but I thought it would be rigid/solid given how heavy this unit is!
In the end, I highly recommend it.I shopped around and couldn't find a better reel for the price (also considering shipping costs).
